This is a picture I took right after I had H&R springs installed along with KYB GR-2 shocks in Spring 2000. It lowered the camry the advertised amount, about 1.5" or so. It actually looks lower now that the suspension has had time to settle. The difference in ride and handling is amazing, the car no longer floats over bumps and undulations in the road, the amount of dive under braking is greatly reduced as well as body roll around corners. The only drawback is slightly more harshness in the ride, but since the stock Camry rides so soft, the ride is still very good. I highly recommend this upgrade.

Since Spring 2000, I've also upgraded the wheels to 16" Solara wheels with Kumho Ecsta tires in 205/55. The car looks a whole lot better now, and wheels/tires feel a lot better on the road, although a bit noisier and harsher.

Next up in upgrades is a rear sway bar from Whiteline and front caster adjustment bushings.

Here you can see my Freedom Design strut tower brace and Weapon-R Intake. You can feel a small difference in chassis rigidity from the strut tower brace, the front end feels more solid over bumps.

The Weapon-R intake gives a slight boost in horsepower, but with a huge increase in intake noise. The noise increase is so much, that I took it off! It really reasonates quite a bit, I find it unbearable.

I wouldn't buy one again, and don't recommend this particular intake. I am working on my own custom cold air intake using mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust tubing. Hopefully, this will extend down under the fender where it will have a chance of picking up some cold air. I will use a K&N air filter as well, I'm not impressed with the foam filter which came with the Weapon-R intake.
